Does it matter if you start your worm beds in the winter? Do they need to be warm or just deep beds?

  2. Matthew says:

If you start the beds on the ground, here in zone 7, 6 inches or so is deep enough to keep them from freezing. Just make the beds deeper than the frost line for your area and you should be good.
