New York City Update

Cotton Candy and A Snow Cone = Hope

Ok so the blog has kind of evolved into a posting about just whatever and not so much about worms. I think that I like it this way as it gives me a sounding board for the real core and cause of Worms Etc. Yes it is a business and the main purpose is to make money but beyond that there is a mission behind what we do here.

The trip to New York City was a real learning experience for me. I was aware that there were many homeless and hungry in this country, but the direct interaction with them placed a new realization of how great the need is. Every city has its section where there is a need and where hope is lost and nowhere to be seen. It is now a priority in my life and one of the missions of Worms Etc to bring hope into hopeless situations.

I urge you, do something today to bring hope to someones life. It is not a hard thing to do. For example when bagging lunch make an extra lunch bag and give it to that person you see on the side of the street each day. So simple, yet for that person you give not only a meal, but the hope in knowing that someone cares!
